Join me every Sunday morning for an inspiring creative journey! By lunchtime, the morning will have magically disappeared and you’ll feel a renewed sense of accomplishment and creativity.
Art Mass offers a unique series of meditative classes aimed at creative exploration, all at a reduced rate with no recordings as this experience is about immersing yourself in the present moment and nurturing your artistic desires.
As an Open Studio, Art Mass connects us through a regular practice that fosters community. Each class features an engaging expressionism project, allowing you to choose your own path while receiving guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback to enhance your skills. All you need is a passion for growth and a desire to refine your drawing abilities. This virtual space celebrates your individuality and the freedom of expression that we all value.
We'll explore various materials, including graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, soft pastel, ink, and watercolor. The projects will cover important themes such as composition, principles and elements of design, expressionism, abstraction, imagination, and realism.

Time: 10am-12:30pm EST
A Zoom link will be provided each week on the morning of the class (the same link will be used every time).

What is included in the class?
We will connect using the easy-to-use Zoom platform, where you can work in the comfort of your own home studio. You will receive an invitation email with a Zoom link and supporting documents such as reference photos, handouts, and a material list prior to the each class date.
These sessions are for showing up, and showing out! Note: Art Mass is not recorded, and there are no make-up dates for missed classes.
The Virtual Workshop Experience with Sharlena Wood
Each session begins with a welcome and overview. You will know exactly how the session will unfold and the objectives.
The classes are interactive and paced for you to work along with step-by-step demonstrations, Q&A’s and help along the way.
Review and critique. At the end of each session, there will be time for questions and concerns. Students may choose if and how they want to share their work.
The workshop encourages sharing in a private Facebook Group (Sharlena Wood • Visual Art Group) where you can upload your finished projects or in-progress homework, get feedback, and comment on your fellow classmates’ work. It’s a safe community space to share your work, and I offer comments on all work posted.
